Submissions of
the
Ordo Yule
Orphic
Anytime you see this symbol adjacent to something on our website,
you may
Submit this element for yourself!
The two letters are the element's Submission code. You will
include this code
within your Submission
to identify the element you wish to Submit.
There is ultimately no limit to the reach of a
Submission in scope, you have only to ask
and your work will be taken into consideration.
O.Y.O may be created anywhere you are, and at any time. Submissions are our means of documenting this process as it unfurls
itself.
All Submissions of O.Y.O are entirely anonymous and shouldn't contain any personal information. You will NEVER include your face or any self-identifying elements in any Submission of O.Y.O.
Practically any documented real-world manifestation or expansion of O.Y.O which has the potential to command interest may be portrayed in some form on our website, even if it does not fit within any of our current forms.
Submissions of all varieties are initiated through
e-mail.
Currently, T.C is the sole curator of O.Y.O. She created O.Y.O
from nothing and is very open minded.
The use of an anonymous or "Burner" email for interaction with O.Y.O is encouraged.
Each time you make a Submission, you are to choose a 2 letter combination to represent your identity that is neither T.C nor A.O.
This is your Pseudonym.
You are responsible for the transmission and hosting of your own Submission media before it is to be displayed on our website. There are many free and popular options available to you...
...but you may ultimately employ any means that you wish, so long as T.C is able to view and capture the media attached to your Submission.
“Give up the whole idea of putting on a show for audiences. A happening is not a show. (...) A happening is
a game with a high, a Ritual that no church would want because
there’s no religion for sale. A happening is
for those who happen in this world, for those who don’t want to stand off and just look.(...) Without an
audience, you can be off on
the Move.”
- Allan Kaprow
Submission Categories
Collective Rituals
When submitting a Collective Ritual, you need only include the content of the Ritual and its level (however, if you are unsure of the level, we will categorize it for you).
When you Submit a Collective Ritual, you are not required to Submit an accompanying Dispersal.
We maintain certain standards of quality, but don't be afraid to Submit more "outside" ideas. We will still consider them.
If you have written a Variant, include the name of the original Collective Ritual in your Submission.
Dispersals
The minimal requirement for a
Dispersal are as follows:
1. At least a single photograph.
2. A Collective Ritual lineage,
a set of Directions.
3. Title and Subtitle.
When Submitting a Dispersal, you may include as much audio, video, writing, links, coordinates etc. as you wish. It is your goal to paint as vivid a picture of your Dispersal as possible.
The media you Submit with your Dispersal should consist of refined, purposeful Works, not simply raw materials. O.Y.O, from the moment you begin to Participate, should be a continuous process of artistic creation.
After interacting with a Dispersal, you may add an entry to its timeline. This can be anything from status updates of physical artifacts to intimate deatails of enactments.
Entries may contain all types of media in any quantity. The minimum Submission required to record an Entry is a single photograph.
• • Secondary Dispersals • •
When Submitting a Secondary Dispersal, you need at least a single image of the Secondary Dispersal in its final hiding place, a title and coordinates.
You may also include a short piece of writing
and a single audio file.
Visitations
When Submitting a Visitation, you need only a single photograph, a title and (optional) coordinates.
If the legality of your Visitation is in any way ambiguous, it will not be accepted.
Music & Images
Audio and video Works of O.Y.O to be displayed on our index page. Video Works are hosted to a communal YouTube page.
So long as these Works are born of O.Y.O processes, there are practically no content limitations beyond those in the interest of safety and good taste.
But don't let us stop you
from having a good time!
